eCO2 Laser

CO2 laser has been the gold standard for laser skin resurfacing for treating the effects of facial skin aging. The latest laser technology, eCO2, a fractional CO2 laser, offers many of the benefits of the full face CO2 laser, with a fraction of the downtime.

eCO2 laser is used to treat many sun damage effects of the skin, as well as signs of aging. It can provide improvements such as skin tightening, treat brown spots, and skin discoloration; eCO2 is also effective in evening out the skin tone and color, removing fine lines and wrinkles, and reducing pore size.

  

The laser settings used will be determined by the desired results, as well as the type of skin you have. The device is sequentially applied to the skin of your face, neck, chest, and/or body part for the desired results.

Fractional CO2 laser skin resurfacing can be performed in the comfort of our office under local anesthesia. Usually a treatment cycle needs to be repeated between 4 to 6 times to achieve the desired results. While the duration of each session only take about 20 minutes to complete, the treatment cannot be repeated until 4 weeks after the preceding treatment.

   

After the procedure, you can go home immediately after your laser skin procedure. During the recovery period, your skin may gently peel for approximately 3-5 days. Treatment areas should be kept clean and moist with a vaseline type ointment. Once the peeling process is completed, you can use make-up to cover any redness, if any. During recovery, it is recommended that products for peeling or containing retinoid should be avoided.
