  Dysport injection

Dysport is a wrinkle injection that has been a popular cosmetic procedures that have helped many combat the signs of aging by removing wrinkles from their faces.

Wrinkle injections are the administration of very small dosage of an active ingredient, known as Clostridium Botulinum, by using very fine needles. The injections can help to relax the muscles under the skin where the wrinkles manifest. Clostridium Botulinum acts to render the nerves to relax. These targeted nerves are the culprit sending the signals to the muscles to contract, thereby causing the skin on the surface to wrinkle. When the nerves are weakened, the corresponding muscles relax and the skin surface stays smooth and calm. Within minutes of the procedure, you will see the difference on your face.

Dysport is mostly used between the eyebrows, on the forehead, and the crow’s feet area. Other off label uses of the Clostridium Botulinum injections include temporary relief of overactive sweat glands on the palm and underarm areas, slimming of the cheeks and calves area.

The effects of the wrinkle injection can last up to 4 months for the first experience. As the site receives more numbers of injection, the effect will grow to last as long as 6 to 8 months.

While the needles used for this cosmetic procedure are very fine, the sensation of the injection is equivalent to a rubber band snapping against your skin or like a mosquito bite.
