XERF is the next-gen of FDA-approved, non-invasive RF treatments with simultaneous dual RF frequencies and advanced energy and cooling delivery mechanisms. Unlike conventional RF treatments, XERF features dual frequencies 6.78 MHz and 2 MHz to deliver energy comprehensively to the skin, reaching shallow, medium, and deep layers. Simultaneous delivery of two RF frequencies allows XERF to treat as deep as the Superficial Musculoaponeurotic System (SMAS) to improve skin laxity, remodel collagen, and enhance facial contours. What areas can XERF treat?
Currently, XERF is FDA-approved to treat the face and neck. Future areas of treatment include the eye area and various areas on the body.
How many XERF treatments are necessary?
For best results on the face and neck, two full XERF treatments are recommended 4-6 weeks apart. Each face and neck treatment is 900 shots. It is also possible to treat partial areas, such as the lower face and submental area.
Are there any contraindications for XERF treatments?
As with all monopolar RF treatments, pregnancy and pacemakers or presence of other battery-powered, implantable medical devices are contraindications for XERF. Please consult with your medical professional for specifics.
What is a XERF treatment like?
A grounding pad is applied to the back and ultrasound gel is applied to clean and dry skin before treatment. The XERF applicator is applied in a grid-like pattern across treatment areas for consistent energy delivery. Areas may be treated at different depths to ensure best results.
How long does a XERF treatment take?
Treatment time will depend on the size of the area being treated. Treatments can take anywhere from thirty minutes to over an hour.
How soon will I see results?
Immediately post-treatment, it is possible to see some immediate skin contraction and improvement. Skin will continue to improve over time as collagen remodels, which can take weeks to months.
