SKINVIVE by JUVÉDERM is the first injectable hyaluronic acid microdroplet skin booster treatment to be FDA-approved in the US to improve cheek skin smoothness for up to six months. What is a SKINVIVE treatment like?
Skin is assessed to determine the number of SKINVIVE syringes needed for satisfactory treatment. A grid pattern is marked on treatment areas to determine injection points. Then, microdroplets of SKINVIVE are injected very superficially into the skin evenly across the grid.
How many syringes of SKINVIVE do I need?
Generally, a treatment consists of at least 2 syringes of SKINVIVE gel, one per cheek. Depending on skin condition and quality, more syringes may be necessary for optimal treatment.
How long does treatment take?
At DSC, we offer complimentary topical numbing to reduce any treatment discomfort. Treatment itself depends on the number of syringes being used, usually ranging about 10-15 minutes per syringe. Afterward, a complimentary cooling mask will be applied to the face.
Is there any downtime?
There may be some redness, bumpiness, bruising, or some minor swelling at injection points immediately post-treatment. These can persist for up to a few days to two weeks.
What aftercare steps should I take?
Minimize strenuous exercise, exposure to extensive sun or heat, and alcoholic beverages within the first 24 hours following treatment
How often should I get SKINVIVE?
Results from SKINVIVE can last up to six months with optimal treatment, but treatments can be repeated as often as you like. Those with naturally dryer skin may choose to repeat treatments more often.
