Benev Exosomes

Benev Exosomes

Welcome the future of regeneration with Benev Exosomes at DSC!

Exosomes can provide skin regeneration benefits, help accelerate and augment skin healing, reduce skin inflammation and skin redness, and improve skin hydration. Exosomes can also help redensify hair by improving scalp health and can even help with hair repigmentation. Exosomes have the best results when paired with other aesthetic and regenerative treatments. These treatments can include: resurfacing laser treatments, microneedling, RF microneedling, skin booster treatments, acne scarring treatments, hair health and density treatments, as well as certain skin pigmentation treatments or skin texture treatments. Pairing aesthetic treatments with exosomes helps augment treatment results, improves skin healing, reduces downtime, and helps soothe inflamed or irritated skin.

Enter the next frontier with Benev Exosomes:

Benev exosomes are derived from human adipose stromal cells and offer better compatibility with skin when compared with plant-derived exosomes. Benev is manufactured in partnership with ExoCoBio, whose exosome products (derived from four master cell banks) have extensive safety and toxicology testing. This is reflected by 99% product purity and strict adherence to maintaining high exosome quality. Stringent quality control of human-derived exosomes is necessary to prevent immunogenicity and to maximize results. Benev exosomes are purified, filtered extensively, and lyophilized (freeze-dried) for maximal stability and safety.

Benev Exosomes
Clinical-use Benev exosomes come in two-vial sets that are meant for reconstitution immediately before usage. The freeze-dried exosomes are hydrated with the second vial in the set, which contains a regenerative diluent complex of humectants, minerals, vitamins, potent growth factors, peptides, coenzymes, and amino acids. This Exosome Regenerative Complex (ERC) has two proprietary formulations, a “regular” and a “plus” intensive version to topically target both skin and scalp/hair health.

FAQ

What are exosomes?

Exosomes are tiny, vesicle (membrane) bound particles that function as signaling molecules between cells. Exosomes can contain proteins, lipids, RNA, mRNA, cytokines, interleukins, and other genetic materials. There are plant-derived exosomes as well as human-derived exosomes. Exosomes from Benev are derived from human adipose stem/stromal cells. Mesenchymal cell (stem cell) derived exosomes are associated with tissue repair, anti-inflammatory signaling, and cell growth which naturally leads to various usages in regenerative and aesthetic medicine.

Exosomes used on the skin, scalp, and hair can help with: reducing inflammation (particularly after a treatment), promoting wound healing, coordinating normal cell function, and helping to regulate immune responses. This can result in reduced downtime and improved regenerative results after adjunctive aesthetic treatments, reduction in skin inflammation, irritation, and redness, and even repigmentation of hair or improvement in hair density.

Why choose a Benev Exosome Treatment?

Exosomes, especially human-derived exosomes, are highly quality- and source-dependent. Human-derived exosomes are generally more compatible with your skin and scalp than plant-derived exosomes, which usually leads to better results. Exosomes can also be sourced from many tissue sources; Benev exosomes are derived from adipose stromal (stem cell) tissue, which can lead to positive results such as proliferation of fibroblasts and elastin. Lyophilization and immediate reconstitution before usage maximizes the potential of Benev exosomes when compared to premade topicals which are subject to oxidation and breakdown.

Benev exosomes are sourced from four master cell banks and produced in a manner that ensures purity, stability, and efficacy. Exosome purity is important because it minimizes the risk of adverse reactions and maximizes the regenerative signaling power in every application. Filtration of unwanted material reduces immunogenicity in human-derived exosomes.

Lyophilization (freeze-drying) is the best way to maintain the long-term integrity of the delicate proteins and genetic material within exosomes without extensive, unbroken cold-chain storage. This ensures a long shelf life and consistent performance. Long-term storage in water degrades the proteins, mRNA, and lipids contained in exosomes over time (such as with regular freezing).

Maintaining high efficacy is important when lyophilizing exosomes. Benev’s manufacturing process preserves exosome bilipid membrane and surface proteins to ensure they remain intact and fully functional. This allows them to effectively communicate with target cells and drive the visible results your clients expect.

Why choose exosomes over PRP?

PRP, or platelet-rich plasma, is a famous regenerative treatment that can be added on to many aesthetic treatments. It is composed of blood plasma concentrated from your own drawn blood that is then re-injected or applied topically all over the skin. PRP is beneficial because it is rich in growth factors and various healing components. PRP quality is highly dependent on individual health, age, and lifestyle factors; quality will vary from person to person. PRP also requires a blood draw and immediate usage after centrifuge because of quick degradation of concentrated plasma.

Benev exosomes are exogenous and therefore not individual-dependent in quality. Furthermore, their stringent filtration and production process results in very high quality exosome material. Benev’s exosome regenerative complex means that in addition to exosomes, a potent cocktail of regenerative and nourishing factors is included in its formulation.

Why choose exosomes over PN or PDRN?
PN (polynucleotides) and PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotides) treatments are currently extremely popular and touted to have regenerative and biostimulatory effects on the skin. PN and PDRN are purified DNA fragments popularly derived from salmon DNA; PN is composed of longer chains of DNA fragments than PDRN’s makeup. Salmon DNA shares about 95 – 97% genetic similarity to human DNA, which makes salmon derived PN and PDRN fairly compatible to human skin for regenerative purposes. PN in particular can stimulate fibroblasts, improve skin hydration, and even support tissue repair. The benefits of PN sound similar to those of exosomes, so when should you choose one over the other?

Exosomes are tiny messenger particles meant for cell to cell communication; when derived from stromal tissue, they can “call” for repair and regeneration. Excellent for reducing downtime after treatment, for hair and scalp treatments, and overall skin rejuvenation. Human derived-exosomes have high compatibility with our skin, even more so than salmon-derived PN and PDRN.

PN provides the physical DNA fragments to repair skin, almost like a physical scaffold or raw material source, so it’s great for thin, dry, or very damaged skin, those who have personal or religious reasons to avoid human-derived exosomes, or individual skin and health concerns would benefit from provision of “scaffolding material” for skin regeneration and rejuvenation.
This can be a highly individualized topic, so we recommend booking a complimentary consultation at DSC in order to determine which treatment (or both) is best for your individual needs!

What is a Benev Exosome Treatment Like?

Benev exosomes are applied topically to augment other aesthetic treatments, especially those that are ablative or induce skin openings. This is to boost maximal absorption, especially for the humectants and components with larger particle size in the ERC formulation. The liquid diluent is drawn from one vial to reconstitute the lyophilized exosomes in the second vial. The resulting mixture is then applied immediately onto the skin after other aesthetic treatments. This can be on the skin of the face, neck, body, or even scalp.
